The Sonia Sotomayor Elementary PTA works to make every child’s potential a reality by supporting their education, health, and well-being. We foster a strong, inclusive school community through family engagement, volunteerism, and meaningful programs that uplift all students.
By advocating for our children and building partnerships between families, educators, and the community, we aim to create an environment where every student can learn, grow, and thrive.

This month's Owl-Star is Yvette Garza!
Yvette is the kind of parent every school community hopes to have, compassionate, courageous, selfless, and always willing to go the extra mile. She speaks up when it matters, stands beside those who need support, and advocates wholeheartedly for our children and teachers. What makes Yvette so special is that everything she does comes from a place of genuine love. She gives her time, her voice, and her heart, not for recognition, but because she truly cares. Yvette, thank you for being a voice for those who may not always be heard and for reminding us how powerful one caring parent can be.
